| Just imagine the thrill of walking (just yards from the front door of the Lodge) over to and climbing into a helicopter with your guide for a 5 to 20 minute ride at treetop level, over some of the most spectacular scenery of Alaska, all the while watching for bears and moose. When you do see a giant moose in a swamp, the helicopter slows down and hovers while you take pictures and video. This is impossible in an airplane, as you have to keep circling and circling while you only catch a few glimpses of the big Bull Moose. |
After hovering and observing the moose, you're off again to your fishing stream. Up ahead you see a clear water stream with nice gravel bottoms and deep holes and as you get closer, you're able to pick out the salmon stacked in the holes and even a few rainbows trailing behind. You think to yourself," I would love to fish that stretch with those deep holes" just about the time the helicopter starts to slow down, and you realize this is your destination for the day. What a day this is going to be! |
